Kenzie Black is an American music producer, international DJ, & Yami Kawaii fashion enthusiast. In the Yami Kawaii spirit she mixes dark & cute bass music beats with video game & anime sounds. These mixes and tracks always have a backdrop of animal welfare activism, and other social movements she cares about.
Her message, “We Rise Together”, implies that people from any culture, more specifically pop edm & nerd culture, can come together as a community, and encourage each other in darkness and in light, towards a meaningful cause we believe in collectively. For Kenzie right now, with the inspiration from her past job as a pet care provider, has ambitious goals to one day open her own animal shelter, So far, she has worked towards that goal by traveling the world, listening to others, and raising money for various reputable animal shelters that have qualities she is currently learning from.
