Catan Qualifier

DerpyCon 2023 will be playing host to a Catan Qualifier this year in our Tabletop Room. Enter for a chance to head to the United States Catan Championship 2023.

Presented in partnership with The Game Guyz, the Settlers of Catan qualifier will take place on Saturday, October 28th, 2023. Entry is free, however there is a cap on each day – so enter early to ensure you have a spot. You can enter the qualifiers by using the button below – make sure that you have pre-registered for the convention first (either a Saturday-Only or Weekend Badge) as you will need to have a DerpyCon 2023 badge to enter the qualifier; mailed badges is preferred as you will be disqualified if you cannot get your badge prior to the start time. All players should register on the Best Coast Players app (see button below) prior to the day of the event as there is a maximum cap of 40 players; walk-ins will be accepted on the day of the event, space permitting.

Rounds: 3 Prelim, Top 16 Cut, Top 4 Cut
Awards: $300 Travel Voucher to be Used to Travel to the US Nationals Event for 1st Place; Additional Prizes for Top 16

 

Catan Tournament

DerpyCon 2023 will also be hosting a Catan Tournament, presented by The Game Guyz. Join in on this 8-player pod style tournament for a chance to with a 4th Edition Settlers of Catan set! Register at the button below to play. You must have either a Weekend or Sunday-Only badge for DerpyCon 2023 to compete.

Crokinole 

Crokinole is a dexterity/skill based game where 2-4 players flick discs towards the center of the board in an effort to fight for position and points.  The game has over 150 years of history and hails from Canada.  It requires only 3 minutes to learn, less than 10 minutes to play an entire match, and can be played by anyone from 5 years old to 105 years old.  Please join us to try what is often described as “The Greatest Game on Earth.”
