SUBMIT CONTENT

Do you have a costume, skit, AMV, fan parody, short film, or other bit of creative media that you would like to share with the DerpyCon community during DerpyCon Online? If so, then DerpyCon wants to hear from you! DerpyCon is looking for such material to add as stand alone and short compilations between main events. Please use this form to submit your media with the name you would like posted in the credits and anything you would like DerpyCon to know in the comments.

Uploads are limited to no more than 12 files and no more than 2 GB in file size. Please ensure that all entries are at a minimum PG-13 appropriate with no nudity, cursing, grotesque violence, or overtly adult themes. Entries that are PG appropriate are preferred if possible.

Hall Cosplay Contest

This is for images or videos of anyone that wants to enter the Online Hall Cosplay Contest. This contest is for craftsmanship so this must be cosplay that you created (minimum 80%). There will be a limit of one entry per person. Please include your level of craftsmanship (see below) in the comments. If there are enough entries, then there will be awards for each craftsmanship level. Otherwise some or all levels may be combined. If your entry is accepted, then DerpyCon will reach out to you regarding a time slot to meet with the Cosplay Guest Judges online to discuss your entry before DerpyCon Online. Winners and prizes will be announced during DerpyCon Online.

The Craftsmanship Levels are as follows:

  • Youth – all entrants in the group are 14 years of age or younger.
  • Novice – all entrants in the group have won fewer than three (3) major awards for craftsmanship at any convention.
  • Journeyman – all entrants in the group have won at least three (3) major awards as Novice but few than an additional three (3) major awards at the Journeyman level.
  • Craftsman – all entrants in the group have won at least three (3) major awards above Journeyman level.
Cosplay Masquerade

This is for videos showing off cosplay or rehearsed skits in cosplay. Entries that are accepted will be reviewed by the Cosplay Guest Judges and presented during the DerpyCon Online Masquerade Event. Winners and prizes will be announced at the conclusion of the DerpyCon Online Masquerade Event.

AMVs

This is for fan made music videos. This includes Anime, Gaming, Sci-Fi, and any other fandom, geekdom, or nerdy genre.

Film

This is for fan films. These are generally multiple scene media that are longer than skits and can be about fans, fandoms, or what the various fandoms encompass.

Parodies

This is for fan parodies. These are generally short form films or skits that lovingly satire various fandoms. Humorous bits in cosplay that you do not want to be judged in the DerpyCon Online Masquerade Event would use this category.

Miscellaneous

This is a catch all for anything that does not fit into the other categories. Do you have a complex compilation that prominently features music but is not an AMV? Do you have a well-choreographed skit in cosplay that you do not want to be judged in the DerpyCon Online Masquerade Event but is not long enough to be a standalone film? If you are not sure where to submit something, then use this category. Additional context in the comments is appreciated and will assist DerpyCon in best utilizing it.
